About Me

Mia Lobel is a veteran audio producer, manager, and educator who has spent her career championing creativity, diversity, and character-driven storytelling. She built the team and led development and production of seven seasons of Malcolm Gladwell’s hit podcast, Revisionist History. She was the first hire at Pushkin Industries where she helped to build the company from the ground up and oversaw production of 25+ award-winning podcasts including Michael Lewis’ Against the RulesA Slight Change of Plans with Maya Shankar, and the music podcast Broken Record. Prior to Pushkin she helped develop long-running shows Distillations from the Science History Institute and Wrongful Conviction with Jason Flom. Mia received a master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. from Wesleyan University. She has been an adjunct professor at the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY since 2010 and she is on the Board of Directors of the Association of Independents in Radio.
